The SCREWSTON COLLECTION
Campaign Execution + Copywriting + Branding + Art Prints + Enamel Pins + Photography
Before launching my brand, I created a collection of Prismacolor marker drawings honoring Houston’s legendary rappers for The All Access Art Show. Paying homage to my city’s rap icons through my creativity was deeply important to me. Over the years, this collection has evolved, expanding with new pieces and storytelling that feels like home.
Intentional drops around June 27th honor the Texas holiday commemorating the day DJ Screw released the iconic June 27 Freestyle in 1996—a track that continues to be sampled and celebrated, keeping the legacy of chopped and screwed music alive.
The products I’ve created have found their way into homes, made people proud to be Houstonians, and sold out in some of the city’s top streetwear stores, including Premium Goods, Proper, and The Tipping Point Store. As a native Houstonian, the love and support for this collection mean more to me than words can express.
Take a moment to explore the various pieces I’ve created over the years—this collection will only continue to grow.

the contemporary arts MUSEUM of houston
In 2020, the Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston organized an exhibition called "Slowed and Throwed: Records of the City Through Mutated Lenses." The exhibit was a two-part interdisciplinary display that celebrated the legacy of the late Houston icon, DJ Screw. During the event, the museum's gift shop offered JU + DESIGN's products including art prints, greeting cards, and enamel pins of DJ Screw and Pimp C for visitors to purchase. The products were a hit and sold out the first weekend of the exhibit. As a result, the gift shop placed additional orders to meet the high demand.
